James Bradberry, the cornerback for the Philadelphia Eagles and former Giant, faced a challenging night during Monday’s game against the Seattle Seahawks. In a critical moment, Bradberry struggled to contain the Seahawks’ final drive, allowing 87 yards, including a decisive 29-yard touchdown by Jaxon Smith-Njigba in Seattle’s 20-17 victory.
After the game, Bradberry didn’t shy away from acknowledging his difficulties and admitted there wasn’t much he could have done to prevent Smith-Njigba’s play. He mentioned, “He just ran past me,” acknowledging the challenges of playing the cornerback position in a pass-heavy league.

The Eagles, under defensive play-calling from Matt Patricia, were holding a slim 17-13 lead with less than two minutes left when Seahawks’ backup quarterback Drew Lock orchestrated a 92-yard drive, targeting Bradberry throughout.
Bradberry, a former Panther who joined the Giants in 2020 but later signed with the Eagles, emphasized the scrutiny that comes with playing cornerback. Despite the challenges faced during the drive, he acknowledged that it’s part of the position to be under the spotlight, especially in critical moments.
The Eagles, now 10-4 and on a three-game losing streak, missed an opportunity to capitalize on the Cowboys’ loss to the Bills on Sunday. Quarterback Jalen Hurts questioned the team’s “commitment” after the game. Despite their recent struggles, the Eagles have a chance to rebound in upcoming games against the Giants and the Cardinals. The Cowboys, tied with the Eagles atop the NFC East, face the Dolphins and the Lions before finishing the season against the Commanders. The Eagles will host the Giants next Monday on Christmas Day
