The Buccaneers may be I"m hot water for not declaring the playing status of Devin White ahead if their win over the Packers.
News has been circulating that White left head coach Todd Bowles and the team in the dark and the linebacker addressed the issue.
“I"ve just been seeing a lot of stuff saying like, that I quit on my team," White told ESPN.
“I don"t understand how I could do that when it was a personal — like for me and coach [Todd] Bowles — decision to sit down and rest to be able to help my team. And even when I haven"t been playing, I"ve been in the building. I"ve been out there just supporting them. … I"ll never quit on my team."
Tampa Bay have not really missed White, who is struggling with a foot injury with rotational starter K.J. Britt in great form.
Britt"s form and Bowles" decision to rotate between the pair could have led to the fallout.
