UFC fighter Colby Covington is well known for his bad boy image but even he is taking his feud with welterweight champion Leon Edwards.
Chaos Covington lost the fight unanimously on the judges score card after the fight went the full five rounds, but it is his unsavory comments out of the octagon that is making the biggest splash.
Prior to the championship fight last week Covington made a remark about Edwards late father, who was murdered when the champ was a teen.
This week he upped the ante saying that while he did not compare his dad to Adolph Hitler he kind of meant it saying he is on “that same level of bad guy” as Hitler.
Covington also called out the referees in the fight, saying he was robbed of the win, but any MMA novice fan could see he was outclassed by Edwards. He claimed a broken foot suffered in the first 30 seconds as well, which contributed to his loss.
He says he won the fight, then he lost the fight because of an injury and now resorts to nasty comments.
I don’t know if he will he earning a rematch soon.
