The New York Giants are now faced with a series of injuries, kicker Cade York was placed on injured reserve after aggravating a leg injury in practice this week.

He was expected to kick on Monday against the Philadelphia Eagles, placed on injured reserve along with Giants kickers Graham Gano (knee) and Randy Bullock (hamstring).

Mike Garafolo of NFL Media reported The Giants are signing kicker Mason Crosby to their practice squad following the series of injuries.

The Giants signed the veteran kicker Mason Crosby after he was cut from the Los Angeles Rams on Dec. 12. As per the Garafolo reports, Crosby will kick for the Giants in their Christmas Day matchup with the Eagles on Monday.

The 39-year-old is a 17-year NFL veteran, who will start his first game of the season on Monday against the Eagles. He has made 395 field goals across his 17 seasons and has an 81.4 percent success rate for his career.

The Giants have faced the kicker situation this season. Back in November, they lost veteran Graham Gano to a knee injury, replacing him with Bullock, who now suffered a hamstring injury.

Crosby was a sixth-round draft pick of the Packers in 2007 and has spent 16 straight seasons as Green Bay’s top special teamer. He played for the Packers from 2007-22 and recorded the team’s all-time points record with 1,918.

As per sources, the Gaints signed Crosby to its practice squad on Friday, hoping to elevate the 39-year-old for the NFC East showdown on Christmas.

Being on the practice squad, he will be eligible for three different single-game promotions to the active roster for the rest of 2023.
