During a recent live broadcast, Colorado Avalanche TV analyst Mark Rycroft had a cringe-worthy moment. He reached for a drink, thinking it was his, but it turned out to be his broadcast partner Marc Moser’s tobacco spit cup. The whole thing was caught on video.

Moser, the play-by-play announcer, had been using the cup for his dip throughout the broadcast. Normally, broadcasters have tea to help their voices, but in this case, Rycroft got a mouthful of something very different. The video shows him spitting it out and desperately searching for his actual drink.

Even though the audio hasn’t been released, you can imagine the reactions. Rycroft managed to keep going, switching between cups to get rid of the taste, while Moser had to keep broadcasting without bursting into laughter.

The video was shared on social media by broadcaster Vic Lombardi, and people found it both gross and funny. Despite this awkward incident, the Avalanche is having a good season, currently tied for first in the Central Division with 42 points.
