Terry Bradshaw, a former prominent talent of the NFL and analyst for Fox Sports, has recently reprimanded the head coach of the Atlanta Falcons, Arthur Smith. Bradshaw’s slammed remark came after Smith fell back on his words.
Smith had named Desmond Ridder as the quarterback for the rest of the season but did not follow his decision. This season, the Falcons have been guided by both Ridder and Taylor Heinicke. However, Smith again chose to go with Ridder after Week 11, as Heinicke gave inconclusive games.
The head coach, Smith, has also stated that the Week 16 match against the Indianapolis Colts will be started by Heinicke. Ridder has seen his grind recently and Bradshaw expressed that he has “no respect” for the head coach as he feels that he has fibbed the quarterback on his promises. As per the Pro Football Hall of Famer, Ridder ought to receive better prospects.
Bradshaw thrashed Smith on the Christmas Eve edition of Fox NFL Sunday and as per Awful Announcing, he said “Nothing upsets me more than when someone lies to me. Alright? I think Desmond Ridder, the third-year guy, they drafted in the third year… uh, third year, third round by Atlanta. He was told after Week 8, ‘You’re my quarterback the rest of the year. I’m not gonna bench you. You’re my man.’ Arthur Smith said, ‘Not gonna bench you!’ What did he do?”

“Someone upstairs said, ‘If you don’t win out this year, you’re gonna lose your job, Arthur Smith.’ And he benched him. So I have no respect for Arthur Smith. Messed with that young quarterback Desmond Ridder like that. You set him back. Play the young man, leave him alone, don’t lie to him. And he lied to him. And he needs to get his but whooped!”
The Atlanta Falcons, however, won the game against the Indianapolis Colts and Henicke gave one of his best performances.
