The NFL community was recently taken aback when it was heard that popular player Josh Jacobs would be absent from the Christmas Day game where the Raiders will be competing against the Chiefs.
The buzz, that had begun murmuring in the sports circles on Monday, has now been officially confirmed.
Jacobs, indeed, won’t be wearing his suit for the upcoming match. An unfortunate combination of a quadriceps injury and illness has taken a toll on Jacobs, the dynamic halfback from Las Vegas Raiders.

This led to Jacob’s inactive participation since the game between the Raiders and Minnesota on December 10, where the former suffered a bitter defeat with a 3-0 scoreline.
Limited participation on Friday with missed practice sessions on Thursday and Saturday marked a streak of unproductiveness for the ill-fated player.
Zamir White, the promising substitute, is predicted to be in the starting lineup, filling the void of Jacobs for the imminent contest.
The new silver and black mantle bearer, White, is expected to step onto the field with a full stride.
In addition to Jacobs, the inactive list of Las Vegas has extended to include some more heavy names.
Starting with left tackle Kolton Miller, who though expected to be active for Monday, will probably make appearance only under ’emergency circumstances’ as per an ESPN report by Jeremy Fowler.
The inactives bandwagon also includes key figures like Michael Mayer and Jesper Horsted, both Tight ends;
the quarterback Brian Hoyer; center Hroniss Grasu; offensive tackle Brandon Parker; and defensive tackle Byron Young.
Kansas City Chiefs, too, are dealing with the imperfection of their offensive with Kadarius Toney, their star receiver ruled out due to a hip injury.
Toney missed the practice all week and was definitively ruled out on Saturday. In addition, extreme circumstances led to Jerick McKinnon (groin) being not only ruled out but also placed on injured reserve.
Left tackle Donovan Smith (neck) also will sit out yet another match, missing from action.
Beyond the highlighted inactives, the Chiefs’ inactive list features a range of names, including Malik Herring, BJ Thompson, and Matt Dickerso.
All prominent defensive ends; defensive tackle Neil Farrell; and cornerback Nic Jones.
