On Saturday, LSU gymnastics sensation Olivia Dunne went to watch a hockey game between the New Jersey Devils and the Detroit Red Wings.
Hailing from Westwood, New Jersey, and growing up in Hillsdale, Livvy was present at the NHL game to root for Devils.
Even though the Devils won 3–2, what stood out was Dunne’s attempt to understand the game, especially the hockey ‘puck.’
Dunne shared a video on TikTok where she looked a bit confused, jokingly asking, “What the ‘Puck’ is going on?”
In the caption of the post, she humorously referred to herself as “Just a baseball girlie trying to understand hockey.”

FYI, for those unfamiliar with hockey, pucks are the round, rubbery things that players shoot into the net.
They are not, as some might think, a naughty word.
Pucks are three inches wide, one inch thick, and weigh about six ounces and are essential in the game of hockey.
While the mention of “baseball girlie” is a playful reference to Dunne’s romantic relationship with MLB prospect Paul Skenes.
He was the top pick in the 2023 MLB Draft and likely met Dunne at LSU, where Skenes led the baseball team to victory in the 2023 College World Series.
On Saturday, Paul Skenes shared on Instagram about his New York tour with his girlfriend Olivia Dunne and dubbed her the “Best tour guide in town.”
The tour highlights included a helicopter ride and a visit to the Rockefeller Center Christmas tree, as per Skenes’ social media post.
As Dunne enters her senior season at LSU, she’s not just known in Louisiana but is also making history as the highest-paid NCAA female athlete.
Plus, Dunne’s massive social media fanbase has led her to bag lucrative endorsement agreements.
