On Thursday, the Cleveland Browns put on a show, scoring a big 37-20 win against the New York Jets.
This victory not only boosted their season record to an awesome 11-5 but also punched their ticket to the playoffs – cue the confetti!
Browns TE, David Njoku didn’t just celebrate the major win but he took it to the next level.

And the party didn’t stop there. Njoku was also spotted outside the stadium, clinking shots with high-spirited Browns fans.

Following the TNF, Njoku reflected on the team’s journey, acknowledging the challenges they faced throughout the season. Despite adversity, the Browns overcame obstacles, and Njoku expressed pride in his teammates. He also said that while they still have a long way to go, they’re going to savor the moment.
“The world, man. The world. There was so much adversity this year. Obviously, you guys know. So many things internally, externally but we overcame them. I’m so proud of these guys. We aren’t finished and we have a long way to go, but for now we are going to enjoy this, explained Njoku.
Njoku’s performance on the field was outstanding, contributing significantly to the Browns’ offensive success.
In the first half, he made crucial receptions, covering a total of 134 yards and setting the team up for touchdowns. His standout plays included a 36-yard run and a 28-yard catch.
For the season, Njoku has been a standout player with a total of 81 receptions, ranking among the top tight ends in Browns history.
Now, the Cleveland Browns and their fans are eagerly hoping for the Miami Dolphins to upset the Baltimore Ravens, which would boost their chances of winning the division.

Cleveland Browns TE David Njoku’s NFL journey
David Njoku was selected by the Cleveland Browns in the first round (29th overall) of the 2017 NFL Draft.
Njoku made his NFL debut in 2017 and finished his rookie season with 32 catches for 386 yards and four touchdowns.
In the 2018 season, Njoku became the Browns’ starting tight end, recording 56 catches for 639 yards and four touchdowns in 16 games with 14 starts. The 2019 season saw him facing challenges with a concussion and a broken wrist, leading to a brief stint on injured reserve.
The Browns exercised the fifth-year option on Njoku’s contract in 2020. Despite a knee injury that placed him on injured reserve, he returned to play in 13 games, finishing with 19 receptions for 213 yards and two touchdowns. In the 2021 season, Njoku had standout performances, including a game against the Los Angeles Chargers with seven catches for 149 yards and a touchdown.
The 2022 season saw the Browns placing the franchise tag on Njoku, who later signed a four-year, $56.75 million contract extension. He recorded 58 receptions for 628 yards and four touchdowns in 14 games.
In the 2023 season, Njoku faced a setback as he was questionable for Week 4 due to burns on his face and arms in a home accident. In Week 14, he had two receiving touchdowns in a victory against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
