“Buddy, this is the crappy, drunk, store brand version of Ken Carman” Cleveland Browns’ Ken Carman Pranks Steelers Radio, Unveils Playful Banter in Wake of Historic Rivalry Triumph

The rivalry between the Cleveland Browns and the Pittsburgh Steelers has remained one of the fiercest in the NFL.

This rivalry, which has spanned over several decades, saw the Browns finally outrank the Steelers.

This historic achievement marked the first time the Browns finished with a better record than the Steelers in over thirty years.

Following the Cleveland Browns’ triumphant victory against the New York Jets, it was time for celebrations and some playful gloating.

One such celebration resulted in an unexpected prank that took the form of a call to a Pittsburgh radio station.

Known for his vibrant spirit, it turned out that one of the pranksters was a radio host from the opposing team’s city, Cleveland.

As the Pittsburgh radio station 93.7 The Fan’s The PM Team W/Poni & Mueller prepared for their discussion on the upcoming Steelers Vs Seahawks game, they received a call from a listener with an interesting alias.

Identified as “Jim from Ohio,” the mystery man had a few choice words and a cleverly disguised query for the Pittsburgh hosts.

Upon his radio debut, Jim thanked the Pittsburgh hosts, Chris Mueller and Andrew Fillipponi before revealing his plan for the upcoming Steelers game.

With a devilish humor, he expressed his intent to enjoy the game by “laughing his a** off.”

Jim then asked Fillipponi a seemingly innocent question, “Have you picked out a good place to watch the playoffs yet?”

The unclear reason behind Jim’s query puzzled Fillipponi. However, it soon became abundantly clear.

The question subtly referred to a social media post the Pittsburgh host had sent to Browns cornerback Greg Newsome II in the past.

“That’s what I’m reading, baby! That’s what I’m reading baby!” Jim said. “Turn it up! Loud and proud, Poni!”

It was then the veil of anonymity was lifted, and ‘Jim from Ohio’ was revealed to be none other than Ken Carman, a radio host from 92.3 The Fan, a Cleveland radio station.

“You sound like a crappy store brand version of Ken Carman,” Fillipponi said.

“Buddy, this is the crappy, drunk, store brand version of Ken Carman. We’re still celebrating out here, baby boys!” Carman confirmed, before launching into a rendition of the Michael Stanley Band’s 1998 Browns anthem “Here We Go Again.”

The playful taunt was accepted in good jest as Fillipponi responded with his own question posing whether the Browns would be playing “that devious creep” — presumably referring to quarterback Deshaun Watson — in 2024.

Subsequently, one of the hosts made the bizarre observation that Michael Stanley is indeed dead.

Brown’s tight end David Njoku claimed the post-victory celebrations provided a great joy, comparable to ‘pulling out the receipts.’

Ken Carman, a die-hard fan of the Browns, had plenty of ‘receipts’ from Fillipponi’s X (formerly Twitter) account to choose from.
