"It’s a surreal moment," Lamb said. "Obviously, shout out to my guys. We continue to work, continue to build and continue to grow. It showed I wouldn’t be able to do any of this without them. We’re looking forward to keeping it going."
The young receiver made an impressive 13 catches, amassing 227 yards and a touchdown. It indeed was a performance to remember.
The highlight of the game was his stunning 92-yard touchdown the second-longest in the illustrious history of the Dallas Cowboys.
The breathtaking victory made headlines as it was the first 200-yard game since receiver Amari Cooper"s impressive 226 yards against the Packers in 2019.
However, Lamb"s performance surpassed that benchmark, setting a new standard in the Cowboys" legendary annals.
Remarkably, Lamb humbly admitted that he was unaware he crossed the 200-yard threshold during the game.
"I kind of blacked out after the 92-yarder," Lamb said. "I was just trying to win a game. Once again, being there for my team is everything and obviously putting my body out there for them, letting them know I’m here. Whether it’s blocking on a run play, whatever the case may be, whatever the case may be, if my team needs me I’m there."
Currently, Lamb boasts an impressive collection of 122 catches, 1651 yards, and 10 touchdowns this season.
In the 2021 season, CeeDee Lamb has managed to surpass Dallas Cowboys" Hall of Famer, Michael Irvin"s record of 111 catches for 1,603 yards set in 1995.
This new record firmly places Lamb at the pinnacle of Cowboys" history, rubbing shoulders with some notable greats in the sport.
"I still want to break [more of] them," Lamb said. "I have the tiger mentality of whatever I set for myself. Obviously, I’m going to enjoy it. But now that’s the new standard and new level for myself. I like to work."
Coupled with dynamic players like Dak Prescott, Amari Cooper, and Ezekiel Elliott, CeeDee Lamb"s breakout season is promising for the Cowboys. The stage is set for a new era in Cowboys history.
