The Miami Dolphins will want to wrap their star players in cotton wool ahead of week 18, after their 56-19 loss to the Ravens.
Apart from the blowout score the Dolphins lost Bradley Chubb to an ACL injury and he is out of the playoffs.
Cornerback Xavier Howard also picked up a knock in the first quarter and coach Mike McDaniel had said he will not start him against the Bills on the weekend.
The AFC title decider between Miami and Buffalo means some big guns, including quarterback Tua Tagovailoa will definitely play.
“The good news on ‘X’ is that it doesn’t look like it will require surgery, what we found out today,” McDaniel said.
“So that was good, and because of that, it’s kind of a week-to-week measure. We have to see how he responds. Feet at that position are just tricky. Each person’s different so we’ll take that with due diligence and press and assess.”
The Dolphins need a win to get a playoff home game and the Bills are a tough nut to crack so it is a balancing act.
