The Detroit Lions may be enjoying their first conference title in 30 years but there is a gnawing doubt as to their playoff capabilities.
The 11-5 Lions will take on the Vikings in week 18.
Historically, Detroit are the only NFL franchise never to have won a wildcard playoff match.
Their last playoff win came in 1991, in a divisional win, and prior to that their last playoff win was earned in 1957.
Worryingly for ecstatic Lions fans is the Detroit team are 0-9 in wildcard playoff games, first losing at that level in 1982 and last competing here in 2016.
Good news is that they will be playing at home in the first postseason game, after traveling for almost all of their history at this stage.
The Lions are looking decent this year with line caller Jared Goff in good form.
They have scored 431 points going into the last weekend, but worringly have conceded 375.
Their offense will have to carry a weak defense and if Goff misfires or is injured it could be another heartbreaking season.
