Rest in peace to the legendary Green Bay Packers centre Ken Bowman, who has passed away age 81.
Bowman played for the Packers from 1964-73 winning three championships.
A statement from the team said he died of natural causes.
He was part of the epic “Ice Bowl,” when Green Bay edging out the Cowboys 21-17 in a 1967 NFL championship game.
The temperature at kickoff was minus-13 degrees Fahrenheit.
The coolest win in Green Bay sent the Packers to the Superbowl where they defeated the Raiders for a second successive title.
The year before he took over from starter Bill Curry as the Packers defeated the Chiefs.
He played 107 starts and 123 games for Green Bay.
