Big 12 Offensive Freshman of the Year 2021, wide receiver Xavier Worthy, has declared himself for the NFL Draft of 2024. His decision came after the College Football Playoff match, which the Texas Longhorns lost to the Washington Huskies.

Worthy, through a video that showed his memories and acknowledgement for this current team, said, “My time here at the University of Texas has been filled with highs, lows, lessons, and blessings. All of them are part of my journey and who I am today.”

“I will be eternally grateful to those who have always believed in and supported me. … To play the sport I love at this level with some of the most talented guys in the game is a blessing I don’t take for granted, and I will continue to be thankful for. With that being said, I will be declaring for the 2024 NFL draft.”

According to Pro Football Talk, Worthy played three seasons with the Texas Longhorns and posted 197 receptions for 2,755 yards and twenty-six touchdowns. The Freshman All-American of 2021, Worthy, was ranked all-time leader in receiving yards, catches, and touchdown receptions.
