The XFL League and USFL League have recently joined hands to create a new league, the United Football League. However, according to Pro Football Talk, the UFL will also see the collaboration of the teams as well.
The XFL League has eight teams, such as the Arlington Renegades, D.C. Defenders, Houston Roughnecks, Orlando Guardians, San Antonio Brahmas, Seattle Sea Dragons, St. Louis Battlehawks, and Vegas Vipers.
Whereas the USFL League has the Birmingham Stallions, Houston Gamblers, Memphis Showboats, Michigan Panthers, New Jersey Generals, New Orleans Breakers, Pittsburgh Maulers, and Philadelphia Stars.
As per PFT, in a letter given to the representatives of the player, Daryl Johnston, the UFL executive V.P. of football operations, shared that the eight-slated team will be able to secure 42 players in their existing lineup.
Two dispersal drafts will also be held by the United Football League to decide the players and their placement in the combined team. The UFL’s teams will be Birmingham Stallions, Houston Roughnecks, Memphis Showboats, Michigan Panthers, Arlington Renegades, D.C. Defenders, San Antonio Brahmas, and St. Louis Battlehawks.
The amalgamation of sixteen teams into eight teams will streamline the process of finding the best talent. The training camp for UFL will commence on February 23rd.
