For the NFL’s Week 18 on Sunday, the Los Angeles Rams are headed to face off against the San Francisco 49ers.
The #Rams will also sit WR Cooper Kupp, RB Kyren Williams, DT Aaron Donald, TE Tyler Higbee, LB Ernest Jones, and OT Joe Noteboom.
WR Puka Nacua will play as he only needs 28 yards to break the NFL rookie record for most receiving yards. https://t.co/diKpmQHdzx pic.twitter.com/Vhq94MoksA

On Wednesday, Rams Head Coach Sean McVay announced they will rest QB Matthew Stafford, RB Kyren Williams, WR Cooper Kupp, DT Aaron Donald, and LB Ernest Jones.
The LA Rams will start QB Carson Wentz on Sunday, giving Matthew Stafford an extra week of rest before the wild-card round. The Rams have already clinched a Wild Card berth and don’t seem to have a preference between the No. 6 and No. 7 seeds.
Coach McVay informed Tight end Tyler Higbee with a shoulder injury and offensive lineman Joe Noteboom with a foot injury will also miss Sunday’s game. Resting receiver Cooper Kupp and defensive tackle Aaron Donald was more of a strategic decision by coach McVay, he said,
“When you look at it, what we just felt like was this approach was the best one for our team.”
He added,
“Excited about Carson’s opportunity but when you look at the totality of balancing what you think is best, there’s not a perfect solution especially when you’re talking about 53 guys, 48 active, able to flex two up (but) we do have a couple injuries … This was just what we felt like was the best thing.”
The Rams currently have the No. 6 seed; losing to the 49ers and a Packers win over the Bears would mean dropping to the No. 7 seed.
The Rams will finish sixth in the NFC if it beats the 49ers or if Green Bay loses to Chicago on Sunday and could play Detroit, Dallas, or Philadelphia in the opening round.
