Fenway Park is usually the home of the Boston Red Sox, but why not try a Victory Royale when there isn’t a game on? Someone must have been thinking the same thing, because Red Sox reporter @Jake3Roy caught a game of Fortnite on the park’s big video screen today.
The Boston Red Sox won’t be playing at Fenway Park for three months, but their home stadium will get some use this offseason.
Jake Roy, SB Nation’s “Over the Monster” contributor, posted a video of someone playing “Fortnite” on Fenway Park’s main video platform on social media.

Many fans joked about how uncomfortable it was to play the popular video in that environment, while others pointed out that it’s a favorite pastime of reigning NL Cy Young winner Blake Snell, who is currently a free agent.
The Red Sox have made several improvements to their center field video board, which recently doubled in size in 2022.
Fenway Park hosts many ongoing events throughout the winter that go beyond short game sessions.
Typically, the stadium also hosts ice hockey — the NHL’s Winter Classic, the NCAA’s Frozen Fenway, or both — but neither will be held in 2024.

They are one of the MLB teams with the most road attendance, and because of the smaller capacity of Fenway Park, they don’t lead in most attendance.
From May 15, 2003, to April 10, 2013, the Red Sox sold out every home game – a total of 820 games (794 regular season games), setting a professional sports record.
The Red Sox open their season on the road on March 28 against the Seattle Mariners. This will mark the Red Sox’ 113th year at Fenway Park.
