“We got outworked tonight” Lakers Anthony Davis admits his team were outplayed against the Heat

The Lakers have dropped to a 17-18 start after going down to the Miami Heat 110-96 and LA fans are less than amused.

With many focusing on the absence of Jimmy Butler, it was rather the absence of a collective due to a rotational system.

This was the view of Darvin Ham, who said missing rotational players was not due to the absence of a “big dog”.

The Lakers started the game without D’Angelo Russell, Gabe Vincent, and Rui Hachimura.

The LA team’s most productive player Anthony Davis was more forthright.

“We got outworked tonight. It’s a little bit of everything right now and if we keep on this trend, it’s not going to be good for us. It’s kinda obvious we need to figure it out sooner rather than later. Guys being out, that’s not an excuse. There’s no excuses for us.”

Davis had 29 points, 17 rebounds and 6 assists.

LeBron James refused to speak to the media after the game after scoring only 12 points.

The Heat had eight players hit the double digits in scoring in a team effort that sees the Lakers drop to 10th in the Western Conference.
