On Friday, the World Boxing Council (WBC) interim lightweight title holder, Ryan Garcia, took to social media to share two major life updates.

The first announcement was filled with joy as he proudly introduced his newborn son:

“Honored To announce my Beautiful First Born SON. PRAISE THE LORD. I am so thankful, I love him so much already. He is so fast already haha. Took him just 8 min to arrive. You know where he got that speed from lol. GOD DID! And GOD WILL. HENRY LEO GARCIA. He will be ten times stronger, ten times wiser, ten times better looking but he will need to work ten times harder. THANK YOU LORD I LOVE YOU.”

However, Garcia followed up this with an update about his marital status.

In a subsequent post that had fans doing double takes, he shared news of his divorce from his long-time supermodel wife, Céline Andrea.

“As I step into a new chapter in my life, it’s with a heavy heart to share that Drea and I have decided to divorce,” Garcia wrote.

He continued:

“While this decision marks the end of our marriage, it’s important to emphasize that our relationship as co-parents remains our top priority. I’m deeply grateful for the years we shared and for her unwavering commitment to our family.”

It seems the boxer had second thoughts about this revelation, as the divorce announcement was later deleted from his Instagram account.

Ryan and Célina’s newborn son, Henry Leo Garcia arrived on December 23, 2023, at 8:28 am. The couple had been together since 2019.

Although HENRY LEO GARCIA marks Ryan’s firstborn, it’s worth noting that Célina is already a mother to a daughter named Rylie.

Ryan Garcia began his professional career at 17 in 2016, impressing with a TKO debut against Edgar Meza.

Partnering with Golden Boy Promotions in 2016, Garcia’s potential caught the eye of legend Oscar De La Hoya. Notable victories, including the WBC Silver lightweight title, marked his rise.

Despite setbacks like canceled bouts, Garcia rebounded with wins, showcasing resilience. His performance against Javier Fortuna in 2022 drew acclaim.

However, a surprising loss to Gervonta Davis in 2023 tested Garcia’s mettle. Yet, he bounced back with a knockout victory over Oscar Duarte in December 2023.
