“I think we need to do some things better” – Eagles centre Jason Kelce only wants small tinkering ahead of Bucs playoff game

For much of the first 10 weeks of the season it looked like the Eagles would finish top of league but five losses in their last six games have seen their stocks drop.

Philadelphia will travel to Tampa Bay in the wildcard playoff and will start as underdogs against the improving Buccaneers.

Star centre Jason Kelce does not feel the team need tinker with a sluggish offense.

“I don’t think we need to do a whole complete shift or revamp of the offense,” Kelce said.

“I think we need to do some things better and put ourselves in better situations — coaches and players. The reality is the plays that we have in and have been doing all year are ones that we can have success with and have had success with.”

The Eagles have scored a decent 433 regular season points, but tellingly have conceded 428.

Maybe the problem lies in the defense as they shipped 27 points in their lopsided loss to the Giants in week 18.

The Cardinals hammered 35 points in a narrow win, while the Giants picked up 25 in a losing cause to Philadelphia in week 16.

The Eagles have conceded 87 points in their last three games, against teams that are nowhere near the playoffs.

They only managed to score 73 points against the Giants and Cardinals in that time.
