Top Golf puts up job posting for Global Head of Footwear and Apparel and qualifications required are all Tiger Woods

He is tied for first in PGA Tour wins, second in men’s major championships and holds numerous golf records. By the end of April 1997, he had won his three events on the PGA Tour in addition to his first major, his 1997 Masters, a record-breaking performance that saw him win by 12 strokes.

In June 1997, less than a year after turning pro, he became number one in the Official World Golf Ranking for the first time. He was also the top ranked golfer in the world from August 1999 until September 2004 (264 consecutive weeks) and from June 2005 until October 2010 (281 consecutive weeks).

During this time, he won 13 major golf championships. However, due to injuries, he had to undergo four back surgeries between 2014 and 2017. Woods played in just one tournament between August 2015 and January 2018, falling off the list of the world’s top 1,000 golfers.

Upon returning to regular competition, Woods steadily progressed towards the top of his game, winning his first tournament in five years at the Tour Championship in September 2018 and his first major victory in 11 years at the 2019 Masters.

That’s the highest total number of weeks for any golfer in history, and the best player in the world. He won 15 professional major golf championships (second only to leader Jack Nicklaus with 18) and won 82 times on the PGA Tour (tied for the first time in history with Sam Snead).

Woods is the fifth player (after Gene Saracen, Ben Hogan, Gary Player and Jack Nicklaus) to achieve a major and the last to do so. He is also the second golfer of two men (after Jack Nicklaus) to win three major championships.

He returned to the PGA Tour for the first time since his car accident at the 2022 Masters. If you’re browsing LinkedIn and come across a job listing posted by Topgolf about their search for a Global Director of Golf Footwear and Apparel, that’s a perfect fit.

This job description says,

“You have a passion for golf, a good understanding of quality footwear and apparel, and good people skills.”

The company also released a checklist of specific qualities it looks for, including key perspectives like

“creative problem solving” and “critical thinking skills.”

However, this is complemented by the following points: • At age 3 he shot 48 in 9 holes. • About 20 holes to one. As you may have guessed by now, there’s no need to apply for a job if your name is Tiger Woods (although over 100 people have decided to throw their hat in the ring since posting on LinkedIn).
