The New York Giants defensive coordinator Wink Martindale is reportedly still with the team afyer rumors he packed his bags after head coach Brian Daboll fired two of his coaching staff.
Martindale apparently cussed out Daboll afyer he let go of outside linebackers coach Drew Wilkins and defensive assistant Kevin Wilkins.
The two fired coaches came with Martindale from the Ravens.
There are unconfirmed reports that Martindale was establishing a cabal within the coaching team as the Giants went 6-11 this season.
New York finished the campaign well with a commanding win over the playoff bound Eagles but it was not enough to save the pair of coaches.
Before the double firing Martindale was assured of a spot in 2024, and it seems likely he will remain there for now, but the Giants will have an iffy offseason and a move to fell Martindale could be in the offing.
