LeBron James is set to break the 40,000 point mark in six weeks time.
James picked up 10 points in his team’s 127-109 loss to the Suns but he averages a shade over 27 per game and is a mere 459 points away from an almost untouchable record.
He is pulling well away of placed Kareem Abdul-Jabbar on 38,387 points and Kark Malone on 36,928.
James next takes on the following five games building up to the record, the Jazz, Thunder, Mavericks, Nets and Trailblazers.
Fans will be watching every Lakers game as he edges closer to the mark and if he stays fit and on par, he could pass the mark on 24 February as the LA team faces the Spurs at the Crypto.com Arena in front of an adoring crowd.
