Victor Wembanyama (born January 4, 2004), nicknamed “Wemby”, is a French professional basketball player who plays for the San Antonio Spurs of the National Basketball Association (NBA).
Considered one of the greatest basketball players of his generation, he was selected by the Spurs with the first overall pick in the 2023 NBA Draft.
Wembanyama started his career in 2019 at Nanterre 92 in LNB Pro A.
Wembanyama signed with Metropolitans 92 for the 2022-23 season and became the youngest player to win Pro A MVP while also receiving Pro A All-Defender honors and leadership.
Ranked first in the league in goals, rebounds and blocks. He was selected to the LNB All-Star twice, won the All-Star Game MVP once, and was named Pro A’s Best Young Player three times.
Wembanyama also plays for the French national team. As a teenager, he led the team to two silver medals, including the 2021 FIBA Under-19 World Cup, where he set the FIBA record for most blocks in a game.
If he continues to play at his best, he could have a 90 OVR this year. While the Spurs (6-30) are still struggling as a team, the goal this season is to grow and develop as a team. At least, Wemby’s performance this season gives Tottenham fans hope.

Well nba 2k probably has an entire team of analysts and a robust model to calculate these ratings so that’s probably better than my pedestrian guess from watching tv and reading tweets. I’ll go with it
