Saturday night’s chilly wild-card round contest between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Miami Dolphins drew millions of viewers despite the initial furore over the Peacock streamed match.
The annoyance of the community surrounded the network’s decision to broadcast the game on Peacock streaming services. NBC stated earlier that the game would exclusively air on Peacock, a video streaming service owned and operated by Peacock TV LLC. The streaming service is a subsidiary of NBCUniversal Media Group.
The game was viewed by an average of 23 million viewers, and the iced-up match between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Miami Dolphins became the most streamed NFL game ever.

According to Front Office Sports, “NBC just announced that the Chiefs-Dolphins game on Peacock was the most-streamed event in U.S. history with an audience of 23 million.”
As per The Athletic, the last game that garnered 15.26 million viewers on Prime Video was held last November between the Dallas Cowboys and the Seattle Seahawks. The game also became the most watched, and now the Chiefs vs. Dolphins have surpassed their record.
The viewership increased for the Sunday Night Football game as fans who wanted to see the highly anticipated match-up between Patrick Mahomes and Tua Tagovailoa but did not live in Kansas City or Miami had to pay a subscription fee to watch the game. The frozen game between the Chiefs and Dolphins also became the first playoff to be aired on streaming services with a pay-to-watch structure.
