There has been a lot of talk about the Los Angeles Lakers possibly trading Zach LaVine in the near future.
LaVine could be a great addition to the team, and maybe a better shooter than LeBron James.
According to NBACentral’s Brian Windhorst,
“There is no chance the Lakers will trade Zach LaVine.”
"I think there's a zero percent chance of the Lakers trading for Zach Lavine."

When the Chicago Bulls first announced they wanted to lose LaVine, several teams considered signing him. In addition, the addition of LaVine also weakens the team’s defense, which is another problem for the Lakers.
In addition, the Bulls may demand a high price for LaVine, allowing the Lakers to blow up their roster to get him. Overall, there isn’t much reason for the Lakers to seriously consider bringing in LaVine.
The Los Angeles Lakers are still in the news, and as the trade deadline approaches on February 8th, they will be linked with several NBA All-Stars as they look to make a change to the lists to take advantage of. Their darkest days are back.
With the 2023-24 trade deadline less than a month away, talk of where some NBA stars will land is heating up, with teams preparing to make personnel changes as they see fit to strengthen the list ahead of time. If they’re lucky, the rest of the season is the playoffs.
The Lakers are a team that has been linked to a number of players who are thought to be available on the trade market.
Fresh off a run to the Western Conference finals last season, the Lakers and league scouts have not had what they were hoping for this season after making several moves at the trade deadline in last year.
Currently sitting in 11th place in the Western Conference, one game back of the playoff seed, and with a 19-21 record, the Lakers are increasingly trying to abandon their ongoing struggles with ability to market deadline.
When the first reports emerged that the Bulls were considering trading one of their star players, Zach LaVine, the Lakers were still linked with the two-time All-Star, reported Joe Cowley of the Chicago Sun-Times Los Angeles 28th All-Star.
The main area is for children 10 to 20 years old. Despite the connection, ESPN’s Brian Windhorst said he believes the Lakers have “zero” chance of signing LaVine in the next month.
However, he said in an earlier report that Chicago still hopes to move LaVine elsewhere before the deadline, adding that the Bulls “need to regroup.”
With the Lakers on the verge of losing LaVine, Hawks guard Dejounte Murray has emerged as a target for Los Angeles as they search for a potential point guard, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic to pair with LeBron James and Anthony Davis.
According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowksi, the Hawks are “ready” to trade Murray after their back-to-back pairing with 27-year-old three-pointer Trae Young was unsuccessful, but the Lakers should “According to Chris B, he is really after the 6-foot-6 combo guards those 5-inch feet.”
Chicago Bulls want Lakers to ’empty their carts’ for LaVine Medina believes that while Murray is a better fit for the Lakers because of his perimeter defense, he remains skeptical that he can complete a job as he expects D’Angelo to be released. Russell as part of the deal.
Trae Young has a question. Also, when it comes to LaVine and the Bulls, Chicago will be looking for a big deal for their two-time all-star, and a big offer for a player that reporters believe will be more than that. The Lakers’ problems as they solve problems which hampered their inability to win games for most of the season.
However, Hawks will agree to this trade because of Trae Young and D’Angelo Russell’s chemistry. Different playing styles, same production on the field While Murray is considered a more defensive and playmaking guard, LaVine is known more for his athleticism and ability to drive from the lane and finish hard at the rim.
His resume includes a number of outstanding dunks as well as two NBA Slam Dunk Contest titles. Both guards average more than 20 points per game on the year, but the areas where they score those points are vastly different.
Surprisingly to some, Murray scored more points on drives than LaVine, averaging 8.3 points per game on 50.4% shooting, while LaVine averaged 5.8 points per game for a higher shooting percentage, some reaching 51.5%.
LaVine gets most of his points on jumpers, averaging 7.4 points on a shooting efficiency of 40.9 percent, while Murray scores less on jumpers, 6.7 points, but it is 44 .7 percent better.
As can be seen from their numbers, neither player is able to score in big numbers, with LaVine averaging just 2.5 points in catch-and-shoot situations while shooting 31.7 percent from the field.
On the floor, Murray is less than 4 .3 points and shot 37.9% from the floor. In the same area, Murray is averaging fewer points in the paint, 3.8, and is shooting a lower 55.9% from the field.
Out of the paint but still in the paint, the Hawks guard is making 4.1 shots per game on 48.7% of his attempts.
However, when reviewing the passing stats, it appears that Murray has a greater impact than LaVine, reflecting his reputation as a playmaker and coordinator of his teammates.
Still, the two players have similar assist percentages, with Murray’s 9.7% higher than LaVine’s 9.1%, but that’s about it.
The Los Angeles Lakers have faced many challenges, including the lack of security at the point guard position, as D’Angelo Russell was not ready, performed well, and then disappeared.
With Gabe Vincent still out and head coach Davon Hamm playing 17 minutes per game, with no real options, the team is looking to trade for another star.
The Chicago Bulls star has been heavily linked with the current Los Angeles Lakers for a few weeks now, with many rumors and reports suggesting different trade scenarios, but ESPN analyst and NBA insider Brian Windhorst is now saying that he will not work it.
Even if Austin Reaves remains unaffected, the Purple and Gold will consider trading their defensive end for Murray, possibly with the arrival of another player, and Los Angeles may consider trading Rui Hachimura, it has been really challenging this year due to injury.
There have been a number of injuries, including a concussion, a broken nose, and most recently a left calf injury.

Lakers don’t have the assets for any big name player that comes up every few months. Idk why we go thru this
— Tee (@TheCoach_TeeJay) January 15, 2024
does the cap prevent overspending or do they get taxed if the do?
if it's the latter then LA should be in the market to get Zack; $ should be no issue for one of the most valuable sports franchises in the NBA. Especially with AD and Bron healthy and playing well.
