Rumors have been circling since last month for Future Hall of Fame manager Dusty Baker potentially rejoining the San Francisco Giants organization.

As per the latest updates reported by USA Today’s Bob Nightengale on Monday, Baker will be joining the Giants. Nightengale released on X, that he will be working with Giants president of baseball operations Farhan Zaidi in baseball operations as well as assisting president Larry Baer on the team’s ownership side.
Earlier, in a radio appearance on 95.7 The Game’s Steiny & Guru, Baker said he plans to discuss with the president Zaidi to see if he can find a role with the team.
He retired as the Houston Astros manager this off season, and shared has had conversations with Giants CEO Larry Baer on a possible return to the organization.
Former Astros Manager, Bakers, started his managerial career at the Giants and has now been reported to be appointed as a special assistant with the franchise.
Baker has managed the team for 10 seasons from 1993-2002 and earned the ‘NL Manager of the Year’ honors three times (1993, 1997, 2000).
In his new role back at the Giants, Baker will be helping on the baseball and the business sides of the operation.
As a manager who has more than 2,000 career wins in his career and finished 2,183-1,862, he also has World Series rings as player and manager.
At the age of 74, SF Giants has appointed Baker as a special assistant to both baseball operations and ownership, the Bay Area News Group confirmed.
