Former NFL linebacker for the New Orleans Saints, Ronald Powell has passed away age 32.
A former teammate Julian Galette posted the following on his social media page.
I Love You Forever till we meet again,” Galette wrote on X, on Monday night. “An EXCELLENT FATHER. Respected Brother and a Loving Son.”
“I am saddened to share with the rest of the world that Ronald Powell Transitioned Earlier today. REST IN POWER RONALD POWELL.”
The cause of death is undisclosed.
Powell was signed by the Saints in the fifth round of the 2014 draft and would play 14 games as a rookie.
Despite spending time at the Buccaneers, Bears and Seahawks those 14 games were the only he played in the NFL.
He was a five-star college recruit and played for the Florida Gators.
He was the number one prospect in the class of 2010.
