As recent reports indicate, the NFL will soon bid farewell to one of its most iconic players. Jason Kelce, the veteran center for the Philadelphia Eagles, has announced his retirement.

Known for his successful career filled with accomplishments such as seven-time Pro Bowls, six Pro Bowl selections, and a Super Bowl, Kelce will certainly be missed in the world of professional sports.

Some of his most memorable moments involved the famous play known as ‘Tush Push,’ which will certainly go down in NFL history with his retirement.

‘Tush Push,’ also referred to as the ‘Brotherly Shove,’ is essentially a play where the offense is propelled forward by the rest of the team in the hopes of securing a first down or a touchdown. It might sound a bit unconventional, but it was one of Kelce’s signature moves.

During an interview with NFL on Fox’s Laura Okmin, Kelce revealed the signal call he used before initiating the play.

To everyone’s surprise, Kelce stated that he would exclaim, “****my life!” before implementing the controversial move.

This claim was substantiated by the Eagles’ quarterback, Jalen Hurts, during his conversation with Okmin.

Despite making ‘Tush Push’ a part of his legacy, Kelce admitted it wasn’t all glory and grandeur when it came down to the execution of this play.

In a conversation with NBC’s Devin McCourty in October, he admitted, “Man, all the weight and everything lying up on top of you.

And you’ve got to wait for everybody else to get up before you can get up. It’s a grueling play, for sure.”

The ‘Tush Push’ required meticulous planning, teamwork, and above all, a physical endurance that tested the NFL player to his limits.

Even then, if executed correctly, it put him under the pile at the end of it all. “If you do it right, you’re at the bottom,” said Kelce. He continued, “If you’re not at the bottom, it usually didn’t go well.”
