In the UFC 297 scheduled this Saturday, the co-main event will feature the women’s bantamweight title fight between Mayra Bueno Silva and Raquel Pennington.

UFC middleweight champion Sean Strickland, after his episode on the LGBTQ community and his comment, isn’t thrilled to watch women’s mixed martial arts.

Champ Strickland will be the main headline for UFC 297 who will face off against Dricuss Du Plessis and press conference, he picked his thoughts on women’s mixed martial arts.

The champ, who was seen wearing custom-made merchandise with the words in his shirt, a woman in every kitchen, and a gun in every hand, was asked by reporters about his opinion on women’s mixed martial arts.

Being candid as always, he responded,

“Here is the thing guys, let’s be honest I am not going to be offensive, WNBA and NBA, Who watches what? Who makes more money? Women’s MMA, I don’t like to watch it, I don’t think most people like to watch it. If female MMA gets separated from male MMA, no one is going to watch this sh*t. I don’t f**king like to see two cats fight, I like to two lions fight.”

The first UFC PPV of 2024 is set for Saturday at Toronto’s Scotiabank Arena, the main headline is the middleweight title bout between Strickland and 2-ranked Du Plessis.

The UFC 297 will also bring several top Canadian fighters and highlight the promotion’s first trip to Toronto since UFC 231 in 2018.

The fight between Bueno Silva and Pennington, irrespective of Strickland unfiltered thoughts, will mark a huge bout for the future of the women’s bantamweight division.
