In the 2nd episode of the podcast ‘The OGs", of Heat legends Udonis Haslem and Mike Miller, the Miami Heat forward recalled his era and commented on the Celtics organization.

"It"s a different era. In my era, we used to hate the (expletive) that we used to have to go against. In the rivalries and all that (expletive), to this day, y"all know how I feel when we gotta play the Celtics. I can"t stand the (expletive), and I like [Jayson] Tatum. I like [Jaylen] Brown, the old (expletive) KG, and Paul [Pierce]. I don"t (expletive) with y"all. Y"all know that it"s cool. I"m cool to that (expletive)."

In his era, Haslem and Miami had gone to battle against Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce, and the Celtics after he retired from the league, his former rivals were recalled on the podcast.

Spending over 20 years with the Heat, the forward had gone to war against Boston several times in the postseason. Defeating the Celtics and their two stars LeBron James, and Dwyane Wade in different meetings while the beef extends deeper than their battles on the court.

In the podcasts, he added,

"The young generation, y"all, can create your own beef. The old (expletive) y"all already know if I see y"all in the grocery store, it"s on; it can be aisle 7/11 around the cheese dip, all of that (expletive) getting flipped over. That"s just how I feel, and they understand that. I told them that, like, they know that I don"t (expletive) with them people."

Last Friday, Miami retired the jersey number of their long-time captain Haslem to the rafters of the Kaseya Center as part of a celebratory night for the Miami Heat organization.

Commenting on the event, Boston Celtics star Paul Pierce believes it was not earned, as he commented on former basketball player Stephen Jackson"s Instagram post.

Clear indication of a built-up rivalry between Pierce and Haslem even after retirement, that has been going on since the early 2010s of Miami Heat and Boston Celtics time.
