In the backdrop of Pete Carroll’s recent upheaval from his top job at the Seattle Seahawks, new confirmation comes from an unusual source – his friend Snoop Dogg.
The legendary rapper broke this news during a media roundtable to promote his upcoming football-themed movie, “The Underdoggs.”
In a revealing conversation with FOX Sports, Snoop Dogg, AKA Calvin Broadus Jr., disclosed interesting details.
The 52-year-old rapper shared that he was the very first person to contact Pete Carroll after the Seattle Seahawks’ big decision on Jan. 10.
Snoop Dogg comforted his friend, and Carroll responded positively, looking forward to other coaching opportunities.
When asked about Pete Carroll’s potential future destination, the rapper confidently stated that his friend “wanted to go to the (Los Angeles) Chargers.”
However, he also took a cautious stance, saying, “But I don’t know if they want him.”

Despite his exit from the top job, Pete Carroll has a continued association with the Seattle Seahawks.
He has accepted a yet undefined role titled “Advisor”. But many allegations suggest that Carroll is looking for head coaching opportunities.
Seahawks’ former cornerback, Richard Sherman, along with Eric Mangini, analyst on FOX, also added their bits to the rumors.
They were quite certain that Carroll wishes to continue his coaching journey, either in the NFL or in the college, where he had a successful run with USC.
Even Pete Carroll himself confessed his relentless struggle to retain his position with the Seattle Seahawks.
However, he conceded, admitting that despite his zeal and efforts over 14 years with the Seahawks, he was unable to convince the team ownership.
“One thing that was evident was that he wasn’t done, it doesn’t seem like he was done,” Sherman said. “He wants to be a head coach in the National Football League.”
Snoop Dogg, meanwhile, is busy with his upcoming R-rated comedy movie “The Underdoggs,” soon to be released on Amazon Prime Video.
It revolves around Jaycen “Two Js” Jennings, a washed-up NFL star performed by Snoop, who coaches a youth football team to avoid jail time.
Nevertheless, Snoop Dogg, an artist with a multitude of roles from being a rapper, actor, and parent, to managing his businesses adds another feather to his hat.
As it turns out, he emerges as an NFL insider – breaking news about his friend, Pete Carroll.
