In a pre-game interview leading up to the highly anticipated 2023 AFC Championship NFL Playoff Game against the Baltimore Ravens, Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes opened up about the unchanged humility of his teammate, Travis Kelce, despite his rise to stardom following his relationship with pop icon, Taylor Swift.

“Travis has always been Travis,” Mahomes reflected. “It’s been cool to watch for me because he has all that attention but he’s just been himself the whole time. He’s still Travis Kelce. He still will walk through the stadium and treat every single person like they’re his best friend. And he’s going to be like that in the locker room every single day. It hasn’t been any different.”

It seems Patrick and Travis have each other’s back.

In a recent episode of his podcast ‘New Heights,’ co-hosted with his elder brother, Eagles veteran Jason Kelce, Travis Kelce discussed his upsetness regarding the hate aimed at his girlfriend Taylor Swift, teammate Patrick Mahomes, and his family during the Sunday’s game against the Buffalo Bills.

“There was a lot of hate pulling up to that stadium. Understandable. The Bills, we’re coming into their house, they want to make it rowdy. Did it get a little disrespectful? 1000 percent. Did it get a little extra? 1000 percent,” Kelce revealed on the podcast.

While acknowledging the normalcy of such fiery atmospheres when entering a hostile environment, Kelce strictly mentioned that the feeling wasn’t mutual.

“I respect it, but I just wanted to make sure that they knew it wasn’t mutual. I don’t hate you like you hate us; it’s all love, baby,” he declared.

On Sunday,, Kelce showcased his resilience on the field, catching two touchdown passes from Patrick Mahomes as the Kansas City Chiefs secured a 27-24 victory over the Buffalo Bills, advancing to their sixth straight AFC championship game.
