The San Antonio Spurs are currently in the fifteenth spot in the Western Conference and in the season they are 8-36. They were recently defeated by the Oklahoma City Thunder, who are first in the Western Conference and are currently 31-13 in the season.
The Thunder were once again impressive in their game and defeated the Spurs with a concluding score of 114-140. However, whenever these two teams headlock the automatic attention goes to their rising stars Victor Wembanyama and Chet Holmgren.
During the game which was aired nationwide on ESPN, one of the network’s reporters Andraya Carter had the opportunity to speak with the head coach of the Thunder Mark Daigneault.
The Spurs vs. Thunder matchup attracts the community more naturally because of the two stars in the making. Carter asked the question related to both the rising court phenom to which the head coach replied, “It’s Thunder vs. Spurs tonight”. With his reply, Daigneault sidelined the question for the two players.

The ESPN reporter then thanked the head coach understanding that he wouldn’t further explain or talk on the question presented. The Thunder coach had previously also refuted inquiries revolving around Holmgren and Wembanyama. He also made his point clear that the focus is on the team and not the individual players.
