The first match of the Pro Volleyball Federation at the CHI Center in Omaha attracted 11,624 fans, which subsequently broke the record in the process. The number of spectators gathered for the debut match between the Atlanta Vibe and the Omaha Supernovas has etched a novel record regarding the women’s professional volleyball match in the States.

Jen Spicher, CEO of the Pro Volleyball Federation according to Provolleyball, shared, “What a fantastic turnout by volleyball fans for our first match. Every past, current and future volleyball player throughout the country should be proud to see this support for a sport we all love so much.”
The last time such a huge number of spectators aligned for a women’s professional volleyball match was in 2016. The fans at the Olympic qualifier were 10,213; the match was held between the US national team and the Dominican Republic.
The Supernovas were defeated by the Atlanta Vibe in a five-game set with a concluding score of 24-26, 23-25, 25-17, 25-19, 13-15.
