Breaking records seems to be a common theme in Patrick Mahomes’ career. The Kansas City Chiefs quarterback has displayed precision in the football field over the years.
The current playoff season has seen Mahomes deliver exceptional performances. He hasn’t thrown a single interception in the past two games of this playoff season, and he remained interception-free in all three postseason games last year.

If Mahomes maintains this streak of not throwing an interception against the Ravens during the upcoming AFC Championship Game, he will create an NFL history.
His achievement as the first-ever quarterback to complete six consecutive postseason games without an interception (given an essential minimum of 20 passes thrown per game) will undoubtedly go down as a memorable feat.
Though his impressive performance in the regular season over the initial six years as the Chiefs’ star player is commendable, it’s in the playoffs where his skills truly light up the field.
He has seven interceptions over his 16 career postseason games, maintaining MVP-type statistics. With a total of 38 touchdown passes, 4,561 yards, and an average of 7.8 yards per attempt in the postseason.
Mahomes’ completion ratio stands at 66.8 percent, coupled with a superb passer rating of 106.7.
While it’s true that Mahomes still has a lot of ground to cover to emulate the long playoff career of his peer, Tom Brady, his current career trajectory seems promising.
As it stands today, Mahomes has proven to outshine many of his contemporary as well as historic counterparts, laying claim to the title of being one of the best playoff passers in NFL history.
