The Toronto Blue Jays have reportedly struck a deal with seasoned player Justin Turner. The news comes from a reliable source, MLB Network insider Jon Paul Morosi, who shared the information on Tuesday.
Though the Blue Jays organization has not officially confirmed the agreement, it is anticipated to be a one-year contract worth a substantial $13 million, including $1.5 million in potential bonuses tied to roster appearances and performance milestones.

Justin Turner, previously with the Boston Red Sox, opted out of his contract with them on November 3, 2023, making him a free agent. He then inked a deal with the Red Sox for the 2023 season on January 6, 2023, along with a player option for 2024.
During his time with the Red Sox in 2023, Turner played in 146 games, boasting a .276 batting average, 23 home runs, and an impressive 96 Runs Batted In (RBIs).
The Toronto Blue Jays faced disappointment in the 2023 playoffs, getting eliminated on October 4, 2023, after a 2-0 defeat to the Minnesota Twins in the American League wild-card first round. This marked the third consecutive year the Blue Jays were swept out of the playoffs in the initial round.
