Former Washington quarterback Michael Penix is one of the top prospects at the upcoming 2024 draft but he is coming off two major knee injuries.
Penix could go as high as number one or two, alongside Caleb Williams, but GM’s will need clarification on his knees.
For his part Penix has said that he has checked out by top orthopedic surgeon Dr. Neal S. ElAttrache, and the good doc is telling NFL teams his knees are A OK.
“Some of that stuff I can’t control. I can tell them how I feel, I can show them how I feel, that’s all I can do at that point. I’ve got plenty of scans to show them, the doctor says I’m clear, nothing’s wrong, I don’t see why they would think I’m hurt, really. I can just show them what I can do,” Penix said.
Playing in the Senior Bowl will give scouts another chance to look at him, but age (24) and injury concerns could move him from a round pick down the order.
