The cable network’s amalgamation with the National Football League began in 2004. It was during CBS’s coverage of Super Bowl XXXVIII, as the network had broadcast a special segment of “Nickelodeon Takes Over The Super Bowl”.
The segment saw appearances from the CBS sports desk, U-Pick Live, stars of Harry Potter, CBS sports analysts, and NFL stars as well. In 2014, a day before Super Bowl XLVIII, Jeff Sutphen hosted a special segment of “Nickelodeon’s All Access Pass to Super Bowl XLVIII”, the segment ran for half an hour.
For 2017’s Super Bowl LI, the children’s cable network aired an hourly segment, “The Nickelodeon Superstar Slime Showdown at Super Bowl”. It was hosted by Nick Cannon with appearances from actors from the “School of Rock” movie.
In 2018, Super Bowl LII also saw Nickelodeon’s special segment as well. It was once again hosted by Nick Cannon, and other appearances were made by the icons of the league such as Drew Brees, Deion Sanders, Stefon Diggs, Todd Gurley, and Luke Kuechly.

For next year’s Super Bowl LIII, the cable aired a 45-minute episode of last year’s revival of “Double Dare” which was known as “Double Dare at Super Bowl”. The segment saw actors from “Cousins for Life” and NFL players such as Russell Wilson and Drew Brees playing with the contestants.
This is going to be good: SpongeBob is set to perform “Sweet Victory” on Nickelodeon’s Super Bowl Broadcast, per CBS.
This is going to be so nostalgic.

In 2021, Super Bowl LV, aired by CBS, Nickelodeon did a half-hour special segment, “The Nickelodeon Super Duper Super Bowl Pregame Spectacular” ; it was hosted by Lex Lumpkin and Gabrielle Nevaeh Green.
For this year’s Super Bowl LVIII, the kid’s cable network has announced that they will air a simulcast of the Super Bowl which will be solely children-focused. It will air on February 11th from the Allegiant Stadium.
