“… Completely embarrassing and unacceptable.” – Cowboys edge rusher Micah Parsons admits he is embarrassed after Dallas lose at home to Packers

Cowboys edge rusher Micah Parsons has finally spoken about the elephant in the room, opening up on their wildcard playoff loss to the Packers.

Dallas were the favorites to win the game, and the conference but lost 48-32 fired up New England team.

Parsons has not spoken about the loss for 17 days, after skipping the after-match media duties.

The dominant edge rusher admitted he was embarrassed.

“It’s that you lose the way you do and at home," Parsons told CBSSports.com.

"We had talked about how much [better] we had played at home, how much it stood for us to be at home and then to go like that at home was completely embarrassing and unacceptable. I couldn’t even look at that loss or feel any type of way because of how embarrassed I felt it took me a while to even show my face in public. I disappeared completely."

The Cowboys were shocking especially after going all season unbeaten at the AT&T Stadium.

Parsons has some advice for the front office.

"I hope that we go out and get the players we’re missing because we didn’t do that this year."

The point is poignant as Parsons becomes eligible for his second contract, while the salary cap war surrounding Dak Prescott will also have to be evaluated by Jerry Jones.

Parsons, one if the best defensive players in the NFL this season may have to take less than he wants with the salary cap taking effect.

He will get more than he is earning with two more years of his rookie deal remaining.
