“I do see a Super Bowl in my future. I want to be a Super Bowl champion,” said linebacker Micah Parsons when reflecting on the Dallas Cowboys crushing AFC Wild Card loss to the Green Bay Packers. Parsons just completed his third season with the Cowboys and after a memorable regular season where Dallas finished 12-5 to win the NFC East, a first-round playoff loss was supremely disappointing.
Speaking on a recent episode of his podcast The Edge, the Cowboy’s star defensive player also called the loss “completely embarrassing” after his team was demolished at home by a number seven seed they were heavily favored to beat.
“It took me a while to even be able to show my face in public,” said Parsons
This was a completely one-sided affair from start the finish. Jordan Love and the Packers took an early lead and never looked back. Dallas trailed 27-0 in the second quarter and trailed 48-16 in the fourth quarter.
"Completely embarrassing and unacceptable."

The devastating 48-32 loss in front of nearly 94,000 of their home fans was a shock to the NFL world after Mike McCarthy’s team entered the game as 7.5-point favorites. It was a humbling defeat for the Cowboys and will force them to reevaluate the roster for next season.
Parson also touched on Jerry Jones’ desire to go “all-in” next season and add some vital pieces to get this talented team over the hump.
Dallas has finished with an impressive 12-5 record over the last three seasons but failed to even make a Super Bowl appearance over that stretch. If they hope to have any chance of breaking their 29-year champion drought, reinforcements will be needed this offseason.
