The No. 5 Tennessee Volunteers have recently defeated the No. 10 Kentucky Wildcats with a concluding score of 92-103. However, John Calipari, the head coach of the Wildcats, did not want to say anything regarding the loss.
The coach was not present when he was scheduled to do his post-game radio segment. One of Calipari’s seasoned assistants, Orlando Antigua, conducted the interview instead.
The spectators were waiting in Rupp Arena to hear what Calipari had to share with the crowd. However, after the win, the crowd would naturally be sombre as they had lost to their conference rival but the absence of a head coach raised heads.
John Calipari isn’t doing the Postgame Show.
He has to get home to see his dogs.

“He took over for Rupp, who would want to do that!”

This is one of the things fans really notice and get agitated by. Can't pass off basic duties after you get a hundred hung on you at home. https://t.co/BRNS1chfNO

A faint “Where’s Cal?” heard over the radio while Antigua speaks.

It’s agitating when your head coach that gets paid $10 million per year sends an assistant out for the post game interview. Happens too often after a poor performance. https://t.co/yXQhzAzdyn

Coward. Face the music John. Your not getting it done and that’s okay, just move on and let somebody who can. Time to move on.

Calipari has called on fans multiple times this season to bring the energy at Rupp to create a better environment — and they have delivered. And now, after a very upsetting loss when fans are waiting to hear from him, he skips postgame radio. Frustrating. https://t.co/HGoYVyYKl9

It’s really lame not to do the Postgame Radio interview after this loss. It just is

The Kentucky Wildcats will next face the Vanderbilt Commodores, whereas the Tennessee Volunteers will headlock next with the LSU Tigers.
