“He has continued to get better and perform” Stephen Curry Offers Wise Counsel to Trae Young Following All-Star Snub

The Golden State Warriors are currently occupying the twelfth place in the Western Conference and for the season, they are 21-25. The Warriors squad was recently subdued by the Atlanta Hawks, who are tenth in the Eastern Conference and are 22-27 for the season.

The concluding score of the match in overtime was 141-134. The point guard of the Hawks, Trae Young, posted a team-high score of 35 points, and six assists. Jalen Johnson scored 21 points, 13 rebounds, and 8 assists.

Onyeka Okongwu ended his game with 22 points and 16 rebounds. Dejounte Murray posted 19 points, 5 rebounds, and 7 assists. Clint Capela added 17 points, 15 rebounds, and 2 assists, and Bogdan Bogdanovic added 13 points, 4 rebounds, and 4 assists.

From the Warriors’ side, their powerhouse star player Stephen Curry ended the game with an incredible performance, posting 60 points, 6 rebounds, and 4 assists. Jonathan Kuminga added 16 points, 4 rebounds, and 3 assists.

Klay Thompson posted 10 points, 4 rebounds, and 2 assists. Draymond Green added seven points, six rebounds, and eight assists to the scoreboard. Lester Quinones ended his game with 17 points and five rebounds. Brandin Podziemski also added 15 points, 11 rebounds, and five assists.

Trae Young was excluded from the All-Star game of 2024 and Curry has shared his advice with the prominent point guard. According to Fadeaway World, Curry stated, “He has continued to get better and perform and (put up) his numbers. With the All-Star Game, there’s a lot that goes into it from the votes, from fans, media (and) coaches. It’s a competitive element, you know, at each position trying to be selected every year. I told him after the game that it would all come back to him if he continues to approach the game the right way: play with joy, don’t let it build any type of resentment just because he’s not acknowledged.”

“There are a couple of injuries in the East, and it might not be the way that he wanted to get in, but he’ll be there in Indiana and be represented… And like I said, if you continue to approach the game the right way, if you continue to work at your craft, if you continue to do what he’s doing, it’ll come back to him.”

Further continuing, “The year before I first made it, you get that snub tag, it’s kind of like a chip on your shoulder and it’s a motivator. He can use it, you know, that energy, but l’m sure he’ll be there.”

Both players were seen engaging in a conversation post-game. The Wayman Tisdale Award winner became the first player who was not included in the All-Star game after having an average of 26 points and 10 assists the previous season. This season, he has upped his game and is now averaging 27 points and 10 assists.
