They might be two of the best quarterbacks of their generation, but Peyton Manning dies not believe he is the right person to give Tom Brady advice.
Manning is more of a talk show personality and not a play-by-play commentator and it’s like comparing edge rushers with cornerbacks.
Brady will kick off at FOX Sport in the A commentator team when the new season begins while Manning has already made a successful transition into the television and podcast world.
“I’m not sure I’m the right guy,” Manning said. “Tom actually reached out to me recently and had some questions. And I kinda said I’m not really sure what Eli and I do are the same as what you’re about to do. I know he spent time with Cris Collinsworth and some of the other commentators.”
Tom could get advice from another top former QB in Troy Aikman.
Manning continued to explain why he is not in the position to offer meaningful solutions.
“Tom is an extremely hard worker, always has been and I have no doubt he’ll take that same work ethic to the broadcasting job and work hard at it. Kevin Burkhardt is one of the top play-by-play guys out there, so he’s got a great teammate already.”
