The 2024 Senior Bowl was under intense scrutiny, as top NFL Draft prospects took the field to showcase their talent.
Among these young talents was former Tennessee Volunteers quarterback, Joe Milton III, who experienced a challenging day.
A social media post by Pro Football Focus (PFF) drew harsh criticism from another quarterback, Shedeur Sanders, for its less-than-flattering coverage of Milton’s performance.

Taking center stage at the 2024 Senior Bowl, Joe Milton III turned in a poor performance for the American Team, Milton threw two interceptions resulting in a 16-7 loss to the National Team.
His performance was documented and criticized by Pro Football Focus, garnering attention across the football community.
Pro Football Focus College, on its social media platform, posted a video of one of Milton’s interceptions, captioning it “The Joe Milton experience.”

While the post tracked the challenges, it ignored the bright spots in his game, such as when he completed 9 out of 13 passes.
The turnovers, however, dominated the narrative around his performance, overshadowing the positives.
Shedeur Sanders took offense with PFF’s portrayal of Milton. He chose to defer the 2024 NFL Draft to return to college football the following season.
Sanders didn’t hesitate to voice his objection to PFF’s post in a reply on Twitter.
He tweeted, “I thought PFF College was to showcase college athletes not put them down.”

His reaction sparked a debate over PFF’s role in shaping players’ narratives and draft prospects.
Sanders effectively raised an important issue: Will this portrayal of Milton negatively affect his draft stock come April? As Sanders sees it, PFF’s portrayal of Milton does him no favors.
