Christian McCaffrey’s mother has decided to temporarily put her love for Taylor Swift on hold as she shifts allegiances to fully support her son’s pursuit of Super Bowl glory with the San Francisco 49ers.

The running back will be facing off against Swift’s boyfriend, Travis Kelce of the Kansas City Chiefs, in Super Bowl LVIII on February 11, 2024, at Allegiant Stadium in Paradise, Nevada.

Expressing her commitment to the cause, McCaffrey’s mom, Lisa revealed on her son’s fiancée Olivia Culpo’s podcast that she will be boycotting Taylor Swift songs for the next few days.

Despite her admiration for Swift and the relationship between the pop star and Travis Kelce, she made it clear that any Swift songs appearing on the radio would be met with a resolute “nope.”

As she stated emphatically, “She’s dead to us this week.”

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce confirmed their relationship in September 2023, with Swift attending Kelce’s games against the Chicago Bears. On January 31, Kelce shared on The Pat McAfee Show that they had been dating for about a month before Swift’s initial appearance at a Chiefs game.

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s relationship isn’t just a love story; it’s a pretty lucrative deal. As per the latest reports, their connection is worth a whopping $331.5 million which is good news for the NFL and the Chiefs.

Taylor Swift has been this super supportive girlfriend, showing up at 12 Chiefs games during the 2023 season. Her first attendance was on September 24, 2023, at the Arrowhead Stadium in Missouri against the Chicago Bears.

Now, with the Super Bowl around the corner, everyone’s wondering if Taylor will be there. But there’s a twist – she’s got a gig in Tokyo, Japan, on February 10 as part of her “Eras Tour.” So, the big question is, can she pull off going from Tokyo to the Super Bowl?

The schedules are kind of conflicting, and it’s making people wonder if she’ll make it to the Super Bowl, considering she’s performing in Tokyo just days before the big game.

Looking back to the 2019 season, the Chiefs won over the 49ers in Super Bowl LIV with a 31–20 scoreline.

Fast forward to February 11, 2024, and the stage is set for a rematch in Super Bowl LVIII, with the 49ers aiming to avenge their previous defeat and claim the championship title.

As the San Francisco 49ers gear up for their eighth Super Bowl appearance, it’s worth noting that their last win dates back to January 29, 1995.

The Chiefs, on the other hand, boast a more recent success record, having secured Super Bowl victories in IV (1969), LIV (2020), and LVII (2023).
