“They do have P.J. Tucker who wants to be traded” P.J. Tucker Seeks Trade from Clippers Amidst Rising Interest from Boston Celtics

The Los Angeles Clippers are currently placed third in the Western Conference.
However, their power forward, P.J. Tucker, is reportedly looking out for a trade.

According to Lakers Daily via Ohm Youngmisuk of ESPN, “I’m not saying they’re gonna make a massive move, but they did just get Ivica Zubac back against Miami. And so now they have three bigs. And of course, they do have P.J. Tucker who wants to be traded, has made no secret about that. He even told me that just last week in Toronto. I think his words were ‘actively looking to get traded.’”

With the Clippers squad, the power forward has played in twelve games this season. He came with the Harden blockbuster trade and has an average of 1.2 points and 2.4 rebounds. His shooting percentage from the field is 28.6 percent.

The veteran player last played against the Denver Nuggets, when in six minutes he managed two steals and one assist. The Clippers had lost to the Nuggets. Tucker was selected in 2006’s NBA Draft in the second round as the 35th overall pick.

He has played for many teams, including the Toronto Raptors, Phoenix Suns, Houston Rockets, Milwaukee Bucks, Miami Heat, and Philadelphia 76ers, and now he is with the Clippers. In 2021, he also won the NBA championship with the Milwaukee Bucks.

He was one of the best defensive players on the 76ers and with the 76ers squad, he had an average of 3.5 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 0.8 assists. His shooting percentage from the field was 42.7 percent and from the deep, he had 39.3 percent as per the Lakers Daily.

As per the report, one of the teams that might see elevated potential in Tucker is the Boston Celtics. The Celtics are moving impressively and due to their depth issues, they might see Tucker’s trade as profitable for their already-strong lineup. The Celtics are first in the Eastern Conference and for the season, they are 38-12.
