Jeff Hafley recently joined the Green Bay Packers staff as their defensive coordinator after leaving Boston College Eagles, as their head coach.
As another position is vacant in Boston, it was earlier pointed out by the Boston Herald that they are eyeing Bill O’Brien, who will come and take over Hafley’s position.
O’Brien was recently hired by the Ohio State Buckeyes as their offensive coordinator and things might take a turn as the potential is high that he might be offered a head coach job in Boston.
Regarding the situation in Boston, Dennis Dodd of CBS Sports has given his thoughts, offering another reason. The veteran college football reporter shared that it is regarding “better security”.
Dodd shared this in his post on Platform X, formerly Twitter, “If Bill O’Brien gets @BCFootball, the situation can be tied directly to the Michigan rivalry. If @OhioStateFB doesn’t beat @UMichFootball, Obie has to consider he’d get blown out with the rest of the staff. (For him, after less than a year). Better security at BC.”

The explanation by Dodd about the situation involving O’Brien was taken into account by the community, which clearly stated how distorted his theory was as they took to Twitter to share their opinions.
This is embarrassing Dennis. Goodness man. Study BoB for 30 seconds to find out his rationale for taking the BC job.

Potentially the worst take I’ve seen regarding College Football in a long long time. To actually let this progress from Thought to Tweet is concerning from a so called media member….

This is such an insightful take. Forget all of the stuff about being paid more to coach in your home town, not uprooting your family, having your special needs son stay with doctors he knows, and being within 30 minutes of your oldest son who's playing college baseball. https://t.co/yYS6uvMXjI

im sure this sounded better in his head before he tweeted it https://t.co/YalFHsXnbW

Or maybe and let’s just really think this out. It’s a lot more money, where he’s from, in a town his family lives, where is special needs son has Drs he sees, where is older son plays baseball not too far from Boston. 🤔 yeah it’s because of the rivalry…🤦♂️

Not a very good take. Maybe look into BOB’s background and family situation. He doesn’t run from competition. Nor would he be scared of ttun.

What a stretch Dennis. Bravo!

This guy is a “national college football writer for CBS Sports”.
He suggests that Bill O’Brien is making a coaching decision based on a game (that hasn’t happened) instead of on the health and well being of his son and family.
This is so very very bad.
Do better @CBSSports. https://t.co/Bx2cGdxPCd

The community did not agree with Dennis’ remarks; however, it can be challenging to track all the programmes and what is going through them all. However, as many supporters shared, the background of O’Brien speaks for itself, and if one is aware of his history, they would understand better.
