Joe Buck, the famed former broadcaster of Fox Sports with whom he worked from 1994 to 2021 has recently shared that he won’t be attending the upcoming Super Bowl LVIII game in Las Vegas’ Allegiant Stadium.
Buck recently joined “The Opening Drive – 101 ESPN” podcast with hosts Brooke Grimsley and Randy Karraker and the conversation covered the Super Bowl among other things.
Karraker questioned Buck during the interview and asked Buck on his enthusiasm on whether he will be attending the Super Bowl as he is not calling the upcoming one.
Buck then acknowledged that he had attended the Super Bowl that took place in Los Angeles because his daughters wanted to go and see the game. However, he had different opinions when it came to Vegas.
According to Awful Announcing, the eight-time Sport Emmy Award recipient shared, “I do not have any desire to be there. It’s a lot of logistics. It’s a lot of congestion. I’m just not that way, I’m not looking for the Maxim party and going out all night. It’s just not my thing and you combine that with Vegas…there’s going to be some story, there’s gonna be something that happens because it’s Vegas and it won’t stay in Vegas. There’s gonna be a big something that happens. I don’t know what it is. I have no idea. That is going to be a mess, in my mind.”
Buck now works for ESPN and is the play-by-play announcer for “Monday Night Football”. However, spectators in thousands will be coming to Las Vegas to watch one of the biggest games of football but Buck won’t be one of them.
